ENGLISH LANGUAGE RECOGNITION
Students are awarded a language qualification following a regular exam with the instructor of the relevant course or in the following manner:
ENGLISH LANGUAGE RECOGNITION acquired by students outside the Faculty - RECOGNITION METHOD
Recognition of qualifications acquired outside the Faculty requires the submission of an international certification issued by Italian or foreign institutions, certifying language proficiency at level B1 or higher, as defined in the Council of Europe Reference Framework.
To find out which certification bodies are recognized by the MIM, please visit https://www.mim.gov.it/enti-certificatori-lingue-straniere
Students must submit a request for recognition of their English proficiency to the e-mail address of the Didactic Coordinator, emanuela.tiveron@uniroma1.it, using the form available at the following link: https://www.architettura.uniroma1.it/sites/default/files/2024-11/istanza...
The following must be attached to the request:
a) a copy of an identity document
b) a copy of both sides of an international certification issued by institutions (in Italy and abroad) certifying language proficiency at level B1 or higher, as defined in the Council of Europe Reference Framework.
Certifications older than three years from the date of submission will not be accepted.
The Didactic Coordinator will have the certificates validated by the Degree Program President. If the Office fails to notify the student of any errors, the subsequent recognition decision will be sent to the Student Administration Office.
Please note that the University verifies English proficiency through the language exam, but does not issue certification attesting the linguistic competence.
