The Bachelor’s Degree in Architectural Sciences is the first stage of the 3+2 study program in Architecture offered by the Faculty of Architecture at Sapienza University of Rome. Through a strongly interdisciplinary approach, the program provides graduates with the essential knowledge and skills to enter the professional field in compliance with Italian legislation.
A balanced combination of theoretical and practical components ensures an integrated learning path aimed at fostering critical thinking and interdisciplinary perspectives. These are fundamental for shaping a professional capable of working independently or within teams, both in the design of new buildings and urban areas, and in the preservation, rehabilitation, and transformation of the existing built heritage and environment.
The integration of design, humanities, and technical-scientific disciplines—carefully distributed over the three years—develops students’ ability to read, analyze, and interpret topics related to architecture, landscape, urban planning, and restoration, while reinforcing an awareness of the central role of design in architectural studies.
Project-based learning takes place across three design studios, progressively guiding students from the foundational principles of architectural composition to more advanced and complex design challenges.
