THREE-DIMENSIONAL MODELING

Course objectives

The specific goal of the Project Management module is to provide methods and tools of the technological culture for a correct approach within the decision-making process, for quality control, for the management of design choices and implementation of interventions. At the end of the Project Management module, students must: - have acquired the knowledge of the main operational phases, of the main actors and of the instruments of control of the technological quality, - having acquired, also through the experimentation carried out through the application, the methodologies of control of the design and construction quality, starting from the technical-economic feasibility design, towards the subsequent technical in-depth stages of the process.

Course program
The Project Management module addresses the thematic area of construction process management, focusing on the design process and specifically on the initial phase, which is considered strategic for the implementation of the entire process. The specific objective of the Project Management module is to provide methods and tools of technological design culture for a correct approach within the decision-making process, for quality control, and for managing design and implementation choices for interventions. With regard to its objectives, the module is divided into: - theoretical lessons on the design process, technical and economic feasibility studies, with particular attention to innovative content and tools; - theoretical lessons reviewing the definitions and techniques of project management and construction management; - theoretical lessons and seminars on the construction process, and on the innovations resulting from the introduction of new organizational processes, new players, and new tools; - practice spaces, with particular attention to the first stage of planning: the technical and economic feasibility project, the relationships with the various stakeholders and with the previous and subsequent phases. With regard to the objectives, content, and expected learning outcomes, the spaces dedicated to exercises will be particularly important, as they represent an important opportunity for experimentation in terms of organizational simulation of the construction process to be followed. Specifically, to organize and conduct the exercise, it will be necessary to decide, beforehand, whether to simulate the role of the client or of a design team.
