Course program
The following topics will be covered during the course: 1. Basic concepts of communication 2. History and basic concepts of psychology 3. Understanding and producing messages 4. Different codes of communication 5. Persuasive communication 6. Strategic Pharmaceutical Marketing 7. Communication of bad news with special reference to disinformation in the medical field

Exam mode
The exam is written and consists of three open-ended questions. Students have a maximum of 1 hour to complete the exam.
Lesson mode
The lecturer will give face-to-face lectures. Students may be offered thematic exercises to be carried out in small groups or individually.

Course program
The course provides students with an overview of the main research topics in Communication Psychology. The following subjects will be covered during the course: • Basic concepts of communication • Basic concepts and history of Psychology • Comprehension and production of messages • Different codes in communication • Persuasive communication • Strategic pharmaceutical marketing • Communication of bad news, with particular reference to medical misinformation • Vaccine hesitancy • Risk communication • Communication processes in conflict situations • Mass and digital communication

No specific prerequisites are required.

Frequency
Classes will be held in person; attendance, although recommended, is not mandatory.
Exam mode
The assessment consists of a written test with three open-ended questions, to be completed within a maximum time of one hour.
