Scientific Biomedical Communication

The course aims to make aware of the following knowledge: • Etiopathogenetic, work-up, prevention, and therapeutic models of main endocrinological. andrological, reproductive and sexual pathologies • Communication by target population of the main diseases • Sexually transmitted infections: prevention, diagnosis and treatment • Assisted reproductive technology (ART) • Lifestyle and health: prevention during childhood, adolescence up to the young adult • Cardio-metabolic aspects in Andrology • Health, ethical, information and communication aspects for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of testicular cancer and for the preservation of male fertility • Oncofertility • Examples of correct scientific information • Examples of incorrect scientific information through the mass media.

Le conoscenze che lo studente deve possedere all’inizio delle attività didattiche sono nozioni di base in comunicazione, marketing, funzioni dei sistemi biologici ed in biotecnologie.

Evaluation will be performed with an oral examination and is aimed to verify theoretical knowledge and effective understanding of topics and skills of the student

The updated bibliographic teaching material will be provided during the lessons
