In-depth understanding of the theories and operational tools for the teaching of foreign languages and Italian as L2. In particular, we shall analyse such topics as the notion of “second language”, the socio-cultural variables in the teaching/learning of languages, the cultural implications in the process of teaching/learning languages, the role of the intercultural contexts in l language education, teaching theories and techniques, and assessment and evaluation of learning.
