Educational objectives

Deepen the path of knowledge of historical-artistic disciplines, also aimed at responding to the needs of the world of work and cultural institutions. Provide specialized training to address research, teaching and roles related to the conservation of the Italian historical-artistic heritage as well as the management of events and production initiatives related to art. Specific educational objectives are the achievement of knowledge of historical-artistic disciplines, as well as historical-critical and methodological reflection on them and on their application in teaching and in conservation institutions.

Consistent with the educational objectives of the Study Program in which it is inserted, the course aims to provide basic knowledge and understanding in the field of ARCHAEOLOGY AND HISTORY OF ISLAMIC ART I, with the support of advanced textbooks, and to enable the student to apply the acquired knowledge in a competent and reflective way, formulating judgments autonomously, communicating ideas, problems and reflections in a clear and correct way, and thus developing the skills necessary to undertake any subsequent studies.

The aim of the course is a basic knowledge of the origin and formation of Islamic material culture and artistic expression, deepening both the transition from late antiquity and the pre-Islamic Iranian civilization accomplished during the first years of expansion from the Arabian Peninsula, and the consequent contributions of specific elements, from the plans to the iconography to the symbols. The student will also be informed about the history of Islamic archeology studies and the relationship between the two Mediterranean cultures (Christian and Islamic) in the Middle Ages.

The student will have to acquire high-level knowledge and ability to interpret events in the field of contemporary Italian literature, with attention to the most recent developments in the debate and disciplinary bibliography; he will also have to be able to collect and interpret the data on which to base a judgment that is critically aware, also in the ethical-social dimension underlying the discipline. As part of the "knowledge and understanding skills" the course includes the presentation of basic knowledge of the disciplines of computer science, network science, web-science and Digital Humanities.
With regards to the "use of knowledge", the course foresees the application of this basic knowledge to the current "infosphere" scenario: up-to-date analysis of emerging phenomena in web applications, mobile applications, geo-based applications is presented; special attention is dedicated to the sociological analysis of Social Media, creating opportunities to understand the phenomena from the point of view of information technology.
As part of the "ability to draw conclusions" the course provides for the realization of a final artifact assigned to small working groups established within the class; in this artifact the application of logical-argumentative methods applied through a group discussion is required; the final production of the artifact also provides for the study of methods and techniques for the correct citation of sources and for the profound understanding of the function of the quotation in supporting one's own autonomous argument.
As part of the "communication skills" much attention is paid to passing the final proof of the artifact presentation in which each member of the group, each student, is required to communicate with the help of the tools that he himself has chosen, the result final analysis, research and group debate.

The Institutions of Private Law course is aimed at teaching students the fundamental notions of private law, i.e. the set of rules governing relations between private individuals and between private individuals and the Public Administration in cases where the latter acts iure privatrum, i.e. as a private subject and without the exercise of the authoritative powers that are proper to it. The course introduces the institutional notions of private law, subjects of law, the legal relationship and private autonomy, through methodological education and constant consultation of regulatory sources and a first analysis of doctrinal and jurisprudential arguments.

Specifically, at the end of the course, students will know the characteristic elements of the different classes of business organizations, with reference to the objectives, organizational models, management systems and tools for representing economy.

The subject provides for the specific study of the foundations of the business economy and of the most significant types in the tourism sector, both in the supply and in the intermediation field. Particular attention will be paid to the most significant changes in the economic and legislative context and to the particular characteristics of the local and national territory. The aim of the course is to provide the basic knowledge for the analysis and understanding of the evolution of the international political system.

This is an introductory survey course, meant to provide the students with an elementary knowledge of the main historical lines of XIX century art and of the critical and methodological issues concerning the art of the time. The student must acquire the necessary skills to evaluate the importance of the artistic heritage and the resources provided and the appropriate skills to enhance them as resources in the tourism sector and to communicate them with the appropriate professional strategies. It will also have to acquire independent judgment in the use of sources related to contemporary art in order to deepen the study and artistic teaching in the tourism sector.

- provides the student with knowledge and understanding of the methodological, critical-problematic and applicative aspects of the Discipline; proposes areal and sectoral perspectives in which research projects pertaining to the Discipline are active or can be activated; it shows the variability of the fields of interest within which disciplinary skills can be applied (descriptor 1);
- develops the student's autonomous ability to relate what has been learned with other SSDs: historical, literary, artistic, cultural, economic, political, historical-religious, etc. (descriptor 2);

Consistently with the educational objectives of the course of study in which it is inserted, the course aims to provide basic knowledge and understanding skills in the field of ICTITOLOGY, with the support of advanced textbooks, and to enable the student to apply the acquired knowledge in a competent and reflective way, formulating judgments autonomously, communicating ideas, problems and reflections in a clear and correct way, and thus developing the necessary skills to undertake any subsequent studies.

The course intends to provide a presentation of the Anatolian culture of the 2nd millennium BC, in particular by exemplifying the aspects of the ritualistic and magical experience of an ancient culture. Through the presentation of the Hittite language, the student will receive the experience of an archaic language of the Indo-European group.

The course provides a broad illustration of the relationship between tourism - understood as part of human mobility - and territory. The theoretical approach and the case studies make reference to a well consolidated and up-to-date international literature. The student will learn to understand the relationships between territory, tourist supply and human mobility; he will be able to evaluate the tourist potential of different regions and the related challenges in terms of sustainability (environmental, cultural, social, economic). The student will be able to elaborate independent evaluations on specific tourism development projects, and on the possibilities of investment, growth and improvement of services in the tourist sector. The student will acquire communication skills by learning the main basic concepts of the discipline; thus, he/she will be able to autonomously deepen the main topics through further studies both in geography, and in economic, sociological, statistical and marketing fields.
