Frequently professionalizing activity in the surgery department, in specialist surgery clinics and in the operating room. Communication with the patient. Basics of dressings, surgical sutures and the organization of the operating room. In-depth study of surgical semeiotics. Instruction on the preparation of the surgical case for review and journals.
Prerequisites
Knowledge of surgical pathologies, pathophysiology and surgical semeiotics.

Course program
There is no predetermined program. The pathologies and diagnostic-therapeutic processes of the patients observed by the student during the internship will be explored in depth.
Prerequisites
Having passed the exams required by their study program that are prerequisites for this activity. Having completed previous clinical internships to be able to conduct oneself appropriately in the various hospital settings they will need to attend.
Books
No suggested texts are provided. Students will refer to the texts used during general surgery exams. Current scientific literature articles on the pathologies they will observe during their internship will be provided to the student.
Frequency
Attendance will be agreed upon with the instructor on a weekly basis.
Exam mode
The candidate's initial abilities, final competencies, and overall improvement during the internship will be evaluated.
Lesson mode
The student will need to shadow the clinical activities of the instructor. Timings and arrangements will be decided on a case-by-case basis according to clinical needs.
