Course program
The module is divided into two parts, not necessarily in sequence: fundamental lexis, and oral production.
- Fundamental lexis. The lessons provided consist of the illustration of the medical-dental lexicon. The working method based on small groups will allow oral interaction and the use/reuse of the illustrated vocabulary. The peer-tutoring technique will be practiced constantly to allow each student to correct each other without necessarily having to resort to the teacher.
- Oral production. The lessons consist of the illustration of the International Phonetic Alphabet and its practical application for solving pronunciation problems. During the lessons, pronunciation simulations will be carried out to verify if the student can independently pronounce, and therefore without the help of the teacher, pronounce new phrases and vocabulary without the help of the teacher. This work will allow the student to strengthen the sense of security at the time of oral productive expression and to improve, as a consequence, also oral comprehension. Working in pairs or small groups will be particularly important for the mutual correction of pronunciation.
