Course program
The laboratory program focuses on the application of the general concepts of modern psychosomatics in healthcare contexts, with particular attention to the role of psychology and the possibilities of multi-disciplinary work in the different contexts of health and disease.
Specifically, the laboratory will be aimed at acquiring professional skills on the role of psychology in healthcare contexts. In particular, students will participate, in small groups, in the activities of: critical discussion of clinical cases in the co-presence of a Psychologist and General Practitioner, critical discussion of cases within multidisciplinary teams, role playing on clinical cases (36 hours).

Frequency
No-mandatory. In order to sustain the exam, students who do not attend the laboratory must prepare a paper, contacting the teacher and handing in the paper one week before the date of the exam.
Exam mode
The exam aims to evaluate the students’ acquisition of theoretical and practical skills.
The exam will be taken at the end of the course. The tests will be two, a written assignment (obligatory) and an oral exam (optional), after about a week from the written exam.
The obligatory test (a written test, with open questions and a clinical case) will aim to verify the knowledge of the theoretical models presented in the course, but also the skills of reflection and discussion of the intervention models within the clinical contexts. The written test will last 60 minutes. The optional test (oral exam) will aim to deepen the topics covered in the written test.
The final evaluation will be the result of a global evaluation, relative to the written and oral exam, if carried out.

Lesson mode
The teaching model adopted will include a combination of: - group work, concerning the analysis of clinical cases in the context of work in co-presence with the General Practitioner and in multidisciplinary work contexts with the aim of stimulating participation, in-depth analysis and reflection critical review of these intervention models; - role playing on clinical cases. All of this to promote the development of professional skills on the role of psychology in healthcare context.
