THREE-DIMENSIONAL MODELING

Course objectives

The course aims to provide the basic knowledge of the material constitution of the artworks. Among the specific objectives the course aims to provide students with the ability to understand artworks from a material point of view; the ability to describe them with the proper vocabulary of the discipline; an autonomy of critical judgment. To this end, during the course, the analysis of works will be carried forward through the study of the diagnosis, conservation and transmission of assets. The themes of teaching, as well as the skills and abilities that are intended to be acquired, fall within the content characterizing the Degree Course in Historical-Artistic Sciences.

Course program
History of science museums: from private collections, to the chamber of wonders, to the first real science museums, up to science centers. Functions and organization of a scientific museum: conservation, research and exhibition. Telling stories through a museum or a temporary exhibition: purpose and use. The museum as an environment; the museum as an experience; presentation languages ​​and techniques. Elements of scientific dissemination. Notes on the ethics of scientific research The preparation of an essay is required which simulates a critical evaluation of the contents and plans the setting up of one or more exhibits in the context of a themed exhibition.
Prerequisites
No particular requirements are required, a good basic culture is sufficient
