APPLIED SPECTROSCOPIC METHODS
Course objectives
This course offers an introduction to the Spectroscopic Methods used for the study of chemical and macromolecular systems. The different spectroscopic techniques such as rotational, vibrational and electronic spectroscopy and nuclear magnetic resonance will be described starting from the quantum mechanical principles of the reference models. The most significant applications for the characterization of chemical and macromolecular systems will then be considered. The aim of the course is to provide the student with a theoretical and practical knowledge of the physical basis of the most widely used spectroscopic techniques and their range of applications to the study of chemical and macromolecular systems
