The one-semester course will be developed as follows: Lectures by the Italian teacher (2 hours per week for one semester, Tuesdays 10-12) and by the native Chinese lecturer (4 hours per week for one semester).

Prior knowledge of the Modern Chinese Language is not required.

At the end of the semester will take place the final exam composed by a written examination (60/100) and an oral examination, including conversation in Chinese and knowledge of radicals. Evaluation will include: 1 Simple conversation. 2 Reading in Chinese of texts read in classes. 3 Syntactic and grammatical analysis. Pronunciation, syntactic grammatical knowledge and the ability to understand and express oneself and to translate will be assessed in the written and oral tests in an organic manner. Correct pronunciation, combined with the ability to read fluently with correct tones, as well as the ability to render sentences from Chinese into Italian, will produce a rating from fair to excellent.
