At the end of the course, the students will be able to carry a elementary conversation in Modern Standard Chinese, they will also be able to read Chinese elementary texts, reaching the Official Chinese Certification Level HSK 1, compatible with European Common Framework levels: A.1.

Program - Frequency - Exams

Course program
The one-semester course will be developed as follows: Lectures by the Italian teacher (2 hours per week for one semester, Tuesdays 10-12) and by the native Chinese lecturer (4 hours per week for one semester).
Prerequisites
Prior knowledge of the Modern Chinese Language is not required.
Books
Masini F., Romagnoli C., Zhang Tongbing, Chang Yafang, Comunicare in cinese 我会说中文, volume 1, Hoepli, Milano 2021.
Frequency
The students are strongly suggested to regularly attend classes.
Exam mode
At the end of the semester will take place the final exam composed by a written examination (60/100) and an oral examination, including conversation in Chinese and knowledge of radicals. Evaluation will include: 1 Simple conversation. 2 Reading in Chinese of texts read in classes. 3 Syntactic and grammatical analysis. Lesson mode
Pronunciation, syntactic grammatical knowledge and the ability to understand and express oneself and to translate will be assessed in the written and oral tests in an organic manner. Correct pronunciation, combined with the ability to read fluently with correct tones, as well as the ability to render sentences from Chinese into Italian, will produce a rating from fair to excellent.
