BIOTECHNOLOGIES AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT

Course objectives

The course aims to introduce the student to the study of "Biotechnology", a subject that includes methodologies and technologies that allow to work on a project plan of "Sustainable Development". The aim is to analyse and deepen the research of an analysis methodology that highlights the results of the assessment of global sustainability, understood as environmental, economic and social sustainability through Life Cycle Thinking (LCT).

Frequency
Attendance is not mandatory, but strongly recommended.
Exam mode
The exam will be conducted orally. Group projects are also planned, which will constitute an integral part of the final assessment and aim to foster students’ skills in study, research, and collaboration
Lesson mode
Classes will be conducted face-to-face for a total of 6 CFUs and 2 weekly meetings, on Wednesdays from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. and on Fridays from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m., in Aula Blu 5.
