Degree Programme

The Bachelors’ Degree Programme aims to provide students with a professional knowledge of basic mathematics, as well as with the mathematical modelling and computational skills for industry, finance and supply of services, Civil Service and scientific dissemination. This basic knowledge will enable bachelors graduates: to be familiar with the scientific method, logical rigour and deductive reasoning; to understand and use programming and computational tools; to have a good knowledge of English; to put problems, create and develop logical reasoning by clearly identifying assumptions and conclusions; to identify correct proofs and unsound reasoning; to provide and analyse mathematical models linked to real situations arising from other disciplines. Bachelors graduates in Mathematics will be able to communicate their own mathematical problems and solutions, as well as the other authors’, in their native language and in English, both orally and in writing. They will be moreover able to deal with applied, industrial or financial issues from a mathematical viewpoint and to discuss it with experts of other fields.
