Course program
Specific learning objectives Apply advanced nursing techniques autonomously and effectively in various clinical settings. Manage care complexities by assessing the needs of patients with chronic, acute, and multi-morbidity conditions. Promote and ensure patient safety through the identification and management of clinical risk. Adopt a multidisciplinary approach in planning and delivering nursing care. Use clinical assessment and documentation tools accurately and critically. Develop leadership skills, effective communication, and time management within the healthcare team. Reflect critically on clinical experience to improve professional practice and promote continuous personal development. Internship activities Reception and initial assessment of the complex patient. Administration and monitoring of pharmacological and non-pharmacological therapies. Perioperative care and monitoring, wound management, and infection prevention. Participation in emergency management and safety protocols. Collaboration with the multidisciplinary team for planning the care pathway. Accurate and critical documentation of nursing activities. Conducting meetings for discussion and learning with tutors and colleagues. Design and implementation of at least one small project for the improvement of care quality.
Prerequisites
To attend the clinical internship, the student must have attended and successfully passed the second-year internship. They can only take the exam if they have achieved the required CFU for the third-year internship course.
Teaching mode
Attendance is mandatory and must be certified by attendance signatures, with continuous supervision by clinical tutors and teachers
Frequency
The attendance percentage cannot be less than 67% of the hours scheduled for each individual internship cycle.
Exam mode
Development and discussion of the individualized care plan, actually followed during the internship experience (as per attachment), from which it emerges: detailed case description PowerPoint presentation of the discussed case Random extraction and discussion of a clinical case among those prepared by the Course of Study, on which the student must demonstrate ability to: know the clinical manifestations of the pathologies related to the clinical case; critically apply prioritization of nursing care, formulating the related nursing diagnoses and the specific NIC e NOC for the diagnosis concerned; Evaluation of knowledge acquired during the course of study, with particular reference to nursing disciplines. The final grade of the internship exam will be determined by the average of the written and oral tests and the technical-practical laboratory test.
