Course program
Starting from the definition of the necessary skills to teach proposed from Visalberghi the course aims to illustrate how a teacher should be allowed to refer to a set of very complex knowledge and skills and should be able to draw upon different sources in order to tackle intelligently educational problems. As problematic reference will be proposed reading of John Dewey's essay, The unity of science as a social problem. Through the reading of a second essay by John Dewey, Experience and Education, we will address the issue of the need for a theory of making it possible to have methodological references for the development of educational projects. The course will be supplemented by reading a discussion paper on the meaning of education and the presentation of recent educational research on the educational welfare of students and on issues of evaluation.
