Educational objectives Other information useful to enter the world of work
The specific goal is to allow the student to unite his/her theoretical knowledge to a more specific knowledge related to the world of work and professions. The student can acquire further knowledge and abilities on the world of work by participating to conferences, seminars, conventions, educational activities (shows, exhibitions) on themes connected to the Programme, workshop activities, exercises of research/study, and projects.
With these activities, the student has the possibility to learn and apply the so-called cross skills needed to enter the world of work (relational, communication, and instrumental skills).
In order to obtain the acknowledgement, the student must prepare a written report where he/she shortly describes and duly documents his/her experience.

Educational objectives Research Exercise: University and Work - Expected and Required Professional Profiles
General Goals
The exercise, in order to carry on the monitoring of the internship by the pedagogical Programmes of Sapienza, is aimed at implementing a system and a nexus between work supply and demand in the area of learning science. By creating a close and constant bond between the world of work and the various Programmes, the exercise optimises the internship by highlighting the orientation its contents give.
The university has the task - especially in disciplinary areas, such as the humanistic studies, where professions always changes and are readjusted - to adapt to the productive and social changes in order to help students to get a study title that can be used to enter the world of work and professions. Taking this into account, it is evident that the internship has an essential role as the favourite tool of work active policy, and if it is well designed, it can facilitate the meeting between people's abilities and companies' demand, fostering the transition from study to work.
Exercises' general goal is to prepare a model that allows to organise an educational path suitable to achieve study and work goals, taking into account students' abilities and interests, as well as the evolution of the world of work.
The specific goal is to make known the various stages of an educational research path, from the definition of the goals to the analysis of results.
Workshop activities will be carried out in pairs or in small groups, and on field.
At the end of the course, the student will know (Knowledge and Understanding):
• The methods to make an educational research
• Internship's educational function
• The job opportunities for graduates in Learning Science
• The main stages and goals of a research process
• How to prepare and use qualitative-quantitative survey tools related to the study/research field
• How to analyse and use qualitative-quantitative data, using spreadsheets (pivot tables, univariate statistics, frequencies, central tendencies, correlations, categorical analysis)
• How to use the computer to input and process data, as well as to present the results
At the end of the course, the student will have:
• Theoretical and methodological knowledge on issues that are subjects of study and research
• Instrumental and research skills (writing, oral expression, IT, collection of data and bibliographical and web respected sources)
Applying Knowledge and Understanding:
• Skills in analysing, planning, realising, and validating analysis tools and procedures, also by using IT and multimedia technologies and analysis programmes
• Skills in collecting, interpreting, and reflecting on issues and data related to the study field, through the training of a scientific attitude and critical and self-critical skills
• Skills in conducting a research and writing a report
• Skills in orally presenting the results of a research, using multimedia too
Making Judgements:
• Planning and realisation of research tools, using them on the field, and reflection on the collected data and the achieved results
Communication skills:
• To be able to interact with others and work in group
Learning Skills:
• To be able to pursue a further education in an independent way, integrating the knowledge acquired with the various courses of the Programme to the field experience
