Apprenticeship

Internship credits can be combined with the thesis, or they can be completed separately.
N.B.: If the laboratory/department/institution where the experimental activities for the internship are carried out is outside Sapienza, it is necessary to activate the Sapienza TSP Sapienza https://smfn.web.uniroma1.it/it/tirocini
In this case, a copy of the project approved on TSP Sapienza must be sent to didattica.dba@uniroma1.it
Recording of internship training activities (approximately 30 days before the graduation session)
Internship credits will be recorded through specific appeals on Infostud, opened by Prof. A.M. Siani. To record your credits, you must register in the normal way for exams.
During the exam session, you will be asked to briefly illustrate the contents of the internship, optionally with the support of a couple of slides. There will be no assessment, only the recording of credits. Each candidate will have 5-10 minutes.
If you are behind in your studies and cannot view the roll call, you must still send the duly completed internship form (as per the instructions above) and attend the interview on the day of the roll call. However, as you are unable to formally register on Infostud, you must send a registration email to the academic office (didattica.dba@uniroma1.it). Credits will be recorded according to internal procedures.

Graduate

The final exam consists of the discussion of a thesis, consisting of a written document, drafted in Italian or English, which presents the results of an original study conducted under the guidance of the supervisor on an applied, experimental, or research problem relevant to the objectives of the Master's Degree Program.
In addition to developing experimental methodologies and/or theoretical models, students learn to conduct bibliographic research and to present the motivations and results of their studies in written and oral form, in English, to a specialized audience.
The thesis is normally prepared during the second year of the program, occupying at least half of the total time.

3. Internship training activities and reporting

No later than 60 days before the session, you must send the internship certification form signed by your supervisor to didattica.dba@uniroma1.it. Please note that internship credits (each credit corresponds to 25 hours) can be combined with your thesis or completed separately.
Internship credits will be recorded through specific exam sessions on Infostud, opened by Prof. A.M. Siani (approximately 30 days before the graduation session). To record your credits, you must register according to the normal exam procedures.
During the exam session, you will be asked to briefly describe the contents of your internship before proceeding with the recording.
If you are behind in your studies and cannot view the exam session, you must still send the duly completed internship form (as per the instructions above) and attend the interview on the day of the exam session. However, as you are unable to formally register on Infostud, you must send a registration email to the academic office (didattica.dba@uniroma1.it). Credits will be recorded according to internal procedures.
For internships activated with TPS Sapienza, in addition to the above documentation, the final report signed and issued by the platform at the end of the internship must also be sent.
Those who have not sent the thesis assignment form and the credit certification form in time will not be able to record the internship credits and will not be able to graduate in the chosen session.

In this case, participation in the graduation session cannot be guaranteed.

Every year, the Career Service organizes the University Career Day, dedicated to students and graduates from all eleven Sapienza Faculties, as well as various Career Days by subject area or Faculty, such as: Humanities and Social Sciences Career Day; Economics and Law Career Day; and STEM Career Day.

Services, the calendar of events, and opportunities for students and graduates are published on the University website at the following page: https://www.uniroma1.it/it/pagina/career-service-studenti-e-laureati
