In this semesters lessons, students will be provided with techical procedural basis and they will be remembered the theorical principals on which the assistencial actions are based on: Particular relevance wil be given to four fundamental elements: a) the patient and the operator safety during the assistence b) the clinical risk given by uman and technological factors inhert in the assistencial activity c) nosocomial infections conteinment d) principal nursing procedures best practice 1) Problems linked to the psycho-social development and growth - life cicle - cultural considerations - adaptational stress and axiety - loss, pain, death - etnicity and cuture 2) Healt promotion -basical nutrition - sleep and rest - safety and hygiene - insights on pathological characteristics of basic vital parameters 3) Infections control -Hands cleaning and the concept of asepsis and antisepsis -Sterilization ( general concepts, outlights on material and methods, roles and responsabilities) -Disinfection ( general types of disinfections and commonly used disinfectants) - Outlights on infective-risk sanitary waste menagement - Surgical wound menagement - Biological samples collection 4) Risk menagement - general concepts, risk- error- near misses- adverse event (professor's slides) - outlights on medications, pharmacological preparations, subministration methods Procedure e temi: -History of infections- Hands hygiene- Using of personal protection devices- Correct body mechanics- Deambulation assistence- Urinary catheter application- Urinal collection condom application- Enema correct execution- Entrances and exits mesurement ( hydro-electrolytical balance concept)- Urinal sample collection (for physical-chemical examinations and urinal culture)- Fecal samples collection ( for chemical-physical examinations and copro-culture)- Drugs preparation and diluition- Hematic sample (venous and capillary)- Intramuscular therapy- Blood culture sample criticity- The wound- Wound dressing- Etiopathology of compressional wounds. Exam mode
The learning test is carried out with questions (at least three) extrapolated from the program. Among these, two are placed on theoretical aspects, and one on clinical practice illustrated by the teacher during the course of the program. The knowledge of the requested topic, the expository ability, the logical ability to connect the topic to clinical practice are assessed. To pass the exam, therefore obtaining a mark of not less than 18/30, the student must demonstrate to have acquired sufficient knowledge of the topics relating to health assessment and assessment techniques. A basic knowledge of the topics related to therapeutic communication and the concepts of responsibility and taking charge and to be able to define the user's needs according to the care models illustrated. To achieve a score of 30/30 cum laude, the student must demonstrate that he has acquired an excellent knowledge of all the topics covered during the course.

oral exam In order to pass the exam, the student must obtain a score equal or higher than 18/30 for each module. A student must show proof of having acquired sufficient knowledge of the program. To obtain a score of 30/30 cum laude, the student must demonstrate that he or she has acquired an excellent knowledge of all the topics dealt with during the course, being able to connect them in a logical and coherent way during the oral interview with the committee. The content, accuracy, exposition, ability to synthesize and clarity of presentation contribute to the determination of the final grade.
