Educational objectives The course has the objective to bring the student 1) to acquire the skills necessary to communicate easily during a period of student mobility in a French speaking country or in situations concrete work in the context of general economic and tourism in particular; 2) to investigate aspects of civilization and culture of French-speaking countries as well as a intercultural perspective French - Italian; 3) to become familiar with the vocabulary of the socio-economic and legal system through the reading the international press of the French language and technical texts produced in above-mentioned professional fields; 4) to develop learning strategies to strengthen skills language, also with a view to continuing to practice independently study language ..

The course aims to provide students with an adequate knowledge of the general principles and rules of German public and private law.
Applying knowledge and understanding:
By the end of the course, students should be able to express the general principles and rules of the German legal system with a full command of legal German.
Making judgements:
Students are expected to have developed a sufficiently autonomous ability to analyse German public and private law by the end of the course.
Communication skills:
By the end of the course, students should be able to explain the German legal concepts they have learnt using the correct terminology.
Learning skills:
Students should be able to continue studying the German legal system and demonstrate the knowledge they have acquired.

Educational objectives Knowledge and understanding:
At the end of the teaching period, students will be able to independently formulate legal concepts in written or oral form depending on the context (email, notice of dispute, agreement between parties or commercial contract, power of attorney), recognize the main elements of a common law contract and the structure of a commercial contract, draft a basic commercial contract, and understand certain elements of the US legal process relating to juries and jury selection, questioning and cross-examination techniques. They will also understand the basic differences between ordinary proceedings and alternative dispute resolution methods.
Applied knowledge and understanding:
At the end of the course, students will be able to express themselves and interact in English in the areas covered during the course and, thanks to the simulations carried out, will be able to draft a commercial contract divided into its individual components or conduct an examination and cross-examination related to a specific case.
Independent judgment:
Upon completion of the course, students who have attended classes and studied the subject in depth using the recommended textbook will have developed a basic but independent ability to analyze the constituent elements of legalese and plain English, contracts, civil litigation in common law, and international commercial transactions.
Communication skills:
At the end of the course, students will be able to interact, orally or in writing, in the main practical situations that they may encounter as lawyers in all work contexts, through the drafting of emails, communications, agreements, and contracts. They will be able to explain the main differences between ADRs and outline the main elements of a power of attorney.
Learning outcomes:
Upon completion of the course, students are expected to be able to interact knowledgeably in basic legal contexts using the English language.
